Ramakrishna Mission, Indore

Ramakrishna Ashram, Indore, was started in 1957 and it became a branch of  the  Mission in 1999. The  centre  is since  then  known as ‘Ramakrishna Mission’.

Activities:

  • A higher secondary school (pre-primary to class 12).
  • A unit of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
  • A physiotherapy centre.
  • Publication of a Hindi monthly Ashramvani.
  • A Yuvak Sangha (cultural unit for youths).
  • Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly classes, occasional lectures, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.
  • Welfare activities: Providing blankets and clothes to needy people, pecuniary and educational aid to needy students, and infrastructural support to government schools.
  • A monastic retreat centre (Ramakrishna Mission Sadhana Kutir) at Omkareshwar, 80 km from Indore.
