Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani

Sri Sri Ramakrishna Seva Sangha was founded in Kalyani in 1970. It became a branch of the Mission in 2023, following which it was renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission’.

Activities:

1. A vocational training centre offering courses in tailoring and vermicomposting.

2. A values education programme.

3. A public library with 1400 books and 2 periodicals.

4. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.

5. An eye camp, general medical camps, and a blood donation camp.

6. Cultural and youth activities: Youth conventions, devotees’ conventions and regular yoga classes.

7. Welfare activities: Provided food, clothes, winter garments, educational kits, and educational stipends.

8. Religious activities: Daily worship, Vedic chanting, bhajans, religious classes and discourses, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio.
