Ramakrishna Mission, Malliankaranai

The ashrama was started in 1932 as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home, Chennai, and made a full-fledged centre in 2000.

Activities:

• A secondary school (class 6 to 10).
• An elementary school (class 1 to 5).
• A hostel for high school boys.
• A dispensary.
• An orchard and dairy.
• Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes and pecuniary, medical and educational assistance.
• Religious activities: Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, religious lectures outside the ashrama, celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and major religious festivals.
