Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Vidyalaya, Chennai

Sarada Vidyalaya was started in Chennai in 1921 and was taken over by the Mission in 1938 and renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Vidyalaya’.

Activities

1. Three higher secondary schools with a total of 2937 students.
2. A middle school with 133 students.
3. A primary school with 257 students.
4. A hostel with 14 boarders and an orphanage with 16 orphans.
5. A working women’s hostel with 30 residents.
6. A skill development centre providing courses in tailoring, aari work, and beautician training.
7. Health checkup and health awareness camps.
8. Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes, and educational aid.
