Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Silchar

This centre was started in 1924 and made a branch of the Mission in 1938.

Activities:

• A students’ home.
• Coaching centres with students who were provided food and educational kits.
• Four units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
• A vocational training centre offering tailoring courses.
• A public library.
• A mobile medical unit.
• Three eye camps and a dental camp.
• Welfare activities: Providing clothes, blankets, winter garments, mosquito nets, ration kits and pecuniary aid.
