Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli

‘Ramakrishna Grama Kshema Trust’ was started in 1985 under the guidance of Ramakrishna Math, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, for the development of the village Shivanahalli located 32 km from Bengaluru. It was made a branch of the Mission under the name ‘Ramakrishna Mission’ in 1996.

Activities:

1. A secondary school (affiliated to CBSE) class 1 to 9.
2. A Montessori.
3. Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
4. A public library with 2000 books.
5. A dispensary.
6. Providing counselling to women self-help groups.
7. Welfare activities: Providing food, and pecuniary, medical and educational aid.
8. Religious activities: Daily worship and bhajans, religious discourses and celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other religious personalities.
