Ramakrishna Mission, Singapore

This centre was started in 1928. Swami Samachittananda is serving as its President.

Activities:

• A kindergarten.
• A students’ home.
• A library with 10,602 books and a reading room.
• Publication of Nirvana, a quarterly journal in English, and a periodic newsletter.
• Sanskrit language classes.
• A homeopathy centre and a counselling centre.
• Religious activities: Retreats, meetings, scriptural classes, lectures and yoga classes for the public, moral education classes for children, and Sanskrit, Vedic chanting and bhajan classes. Daily worship and bhajans, observance of Durga Puja, Kali Puja, etc and celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other religious personages.
• Occasional lectures in different parts of Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Jakarta and Hong Kong and online classes for devotees in Bangkok and Jakarta.
• Free distribution of religious literature.
• Welfare work by providing food to migrant workers.
