Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair)

The centre was started in 1961 and made a branch of the Ramakrishna Mission in 1992.

Activities:

1. A vocational training centre offering cutting, tailoring and embroidery courses, as well as drawing and painting.

2. A coaching centre for rural students.

3. A study circle for young boys.

4. A computer training centre offering basic computer education.

5. A public library with a rich collection of books.

6. Religious activities: Daily worship, regular religious classes and discourses, Japa Yajnas, and celebration of major festivals and the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.

7. Welfare activities: Distribution of food, and educational and pecuniary aid.
