This branch of the Ramakrishna Mission was started at the birthplace and ancestral house of Swami Vivekananda in 2004.
Activities:
- A school of languages with courses in Spoken English, German, French, Spanish and Sanskrit.
- A computer training centre.
- Coaching centres: The children were also given breakfast, books and clothes.
- Two units of Gadadhar Abhuydaya Prakalpa.
- A textbook library for school/college students.
- Youth forums and values education classes.
- A dispensary.
- A museum on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
- A memorial shrine with two small meditation halls.
- Regular religious classes, endowment lectures, seminars, etc.
- Welfare activities: Provided clothes, pecuniary aid and educational assistance to people in rural and urban areas.
