Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar

The Vidyapith was started in 1922.
Activities:

1. An English-medium residential higher secondary school (class 6 to 12), affiliated to CBSE.
2. A study-cum-coaching centre for SC, ST & OBC students, who were provided with tiffin, books, clothes, etc.
3. Non-formal education centres for non-school-going children at 8 villages around Deoghar.
4. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic-cum-ayurvedic dispensary along with a diagnostic centre.
5. A mobile medical unit.
6. A unit of the National Institute of Open Schooling which provided training in computers, and in repairing of electrical & electronic appliances and motor winding.
7. Publication: Reprint of 3 Bengali books and 1 Hindi book (total 7 titles in circulation).
8. A tribal museum, a permanent exhibition on the Holy Mother, and another on the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and his monastic disciples.
9. Religious activities: Celebration of the birthdays of spiritual luminaries and of major religious festivals.
10. Welfare activities: Providing clothes, blankets, and pecuniary, medical, and educational aid.
