Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Porbandar

This centre was started in 1997 on the Bhojeshwar Bungalow premises, which is sanctified by Swami Vivekananda’s stay for four months in 1891-92.

Activities:

1. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary with a physiotherapy and ayurvedic section.

2. Eight eye camps.

3. A library with 20,620 books and 17 periodicals.

4. A coaching centre with students who were also given training in computer operations.

5. Vocational training in tailoring.

6. A permanent exhibition on Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.

7. Welfare activities: Providing ration kits and educational and medical aid.
