Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre, Bourne End, United Kingdom

Founded in 1948, this centre of the Ramakrishna Math is housed in a commodious building, 45 km away from Central London. Swami Sarvasthananda is its Minister-in-charge.

Activities:

  • Publication of Vedanta, a bimonthly in English (70th year). The centre also maintains a bookstore.
  • Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and major religious festivals.
  • Regular spiritual retreats, interviews and religious discourses.
  • The swami also visited various places in UK and in other parts of Europe, gave interviews to spiritual seekers, conducted spiritual retreats, and participated in several seminars and inter-religious meets.
  • The centre made donations for charitable works through the Math and Mission centres, mainly in India, Germany & Brazil.
  • Special programmes organized to commemorate the 75th year of the founding of the centre.
