Founded in 1933, this branch of Ramakrishna Math has Swami Yuktatmananda as the minister-in-charge.

Activities:

  • Sunday service and two weekday classes.
  • Talks and lectures in different parts of America, and meetings with groups of students of comparative religion.
  • Special services on Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, Durga Puja day, and the birthdays of Buddha, Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.
  • Publication of a monthly announcement with an article by the swami and a number of books on the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda, and on the systems of Yoga and Vedanta.
  • A library and a reading room with 1200 books and 10 periodicals for members and friends, and a bookshop.
  • A website which is a valuable source of inspiration for spiritual seekers and provides information to the public.
  • The house at Thousand Island Park (New York State), named Vivekananda Cottage, where Swami Vivekananda stayed and gave his Inspired Talks in 1895, served as a retreat for spiritual culture in summer. Daily vespers, meditation sessions, scriptural classes, a summer retreat programme, and a seminar were conducted during the period.
