
This centre, started in 1920, was made a branch of Ramakrishna Math in 2017. A branch of Ramakrishna Mission was also started there in the same year.
Activities of the Math centre:
- Daily worship, bhajans, weekly religious classes and occasional lectures in the Ashrama and elsewhere.
- A four-day long celebration of Kalpataru festival in January.
- Celebration of the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda, Durga Puja, Kali Puja and other religious festivals.
Activities of the Mission centre:
- A students’ home with 40 students.
- An annual blood donation camp.
- Welfare work by way of distributing clothing, and blankets and providing pecuniary help, medical help and educational help to poor and needy people.
