Vedanta Society of St. Louis, USA

The Society was started in 1938. Swami Chetanananda is the Minister-in-charge of this affiliate of the Ramakrishna Math.
Activities:

1. A library with 2822 books, and a bookstore.

2. Sunday services, weekday classes including chanting classes, and weekly study circle meetings.

3. Interviews to students and spiritual aspirants in and outside the Society.

4. Retreats, vigils, and an annual Vivekananda Festival.

5. Celebration of major religious festivals and the birthdays of the Holy Trio, Swami Brahmananda, and other religious luminaries.

6. The Swami participated in several interfaith meetings and seminars and gave lectures and conducted retreats in many parts of the country.

7. A publication unit with 31 titles in circulation.

Sub-centre – Vedanta Society of Kansas City
Founded in 1947, this Society has been functioning as a sub-centre of the Vedanta Society of St. Louis since 2005.
