
The Society was founded in 1925. Swami Chandrashekharananda is in charge of this branch of Ramakrishna Math since January 2016. Its spacious home and temple are located in the attractive Mt. Tabor district.
Activities:
- Daily worship, meditation, and scriptural classes and lectures.
- Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna and Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and also a few other religious festivals.
- Interviews to students and spiritual seekers.
- A library.
- The Society has a retreat at Scappoose in a 289-acre wooded area, overlooking the Columbia River Valley. Located 40 km away from the city, the retreat has a number of remote forest shrines which are used for meditation by the members and friends during vacations.
