Founded in 1930, this Society is an affiliate of the Ramakrishna Math. It moved to its present home at Homer Glen in 2008. Swami Ishatmananda is its Minister-in-charge.

Activities:

  1. A library.

  2. Publication of books and a quarterly online magazine Chicago Calling.

  3. An exhibition on Swami Vivekananda in Chicago.

  4. Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan, spiritual retreat, lectures, Sunday services, weekly scripture classes, spiritual counselling, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.

Sub-centres:

A. Home of Harmony, Chicago:

The sub-centre was inaugurated in 2022.

Activities:

  1. School of the World Religions: An online course on Hinduism, Buddhism, Eastern religion and Abrahamic religions, and interfaith meetings.

  2. Interfaith talks and music by representatives of different religions on Saturdays.

  3. Weekly yoga classes.

B. Vivekananda Retreat, Ganges, Michigan:

Spread over 100 acres, this retreat facility was established in 1971.

Activities:
a. A library.
b. A museum on Indian culture.
c. Religious activities: Daily worship and Sunday services, retreat, and a shrine trail with shrines for all major religions.
