21 February 2018 : We are happy to inform that in response to our appeal to the Chief Minister, the Government of West Bengal,  has issued a notification dated 25th January, 2018 declaring thirty-four of our primary, secondary and higher secondary schools in West Bengal as “Specified Category” under the clause (p) of section 2 of the RTE act, 2009.
Date : 9 April 2018 We are sorry to announce the passing away of Swami Putananda ji (Kalipada Maharaj), Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math (Balaram Mandir), Kolkata, on 9 April 2018 at about 5.35 pm at Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata. He was 92 and had been suffering from liver cancer for the last few months. His mortal body will be kept tonight at Balaram Mandir centre. Cremation will be held at Belur Math on 10 April at 12 noon.

We are sorry to announce the passing away of revered Swami Shivamayanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, at Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata, today (11 June 2021) at 9.05 pm due to severe Covid pneumonia.  He was 86 and had been suffering from hypertension, bronchial asthma, and kidney disease for some years.

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing away of Revered Srimat Swami Vagishananda ji Maharaj, the senior-most Vice President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, on 12 March 2021 at 7.10 pm at Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata, owing to a massive heart attack. He was 91.

His mortal remains will be kept at Ramakrishna Math, Cossipore, from 10:00 pm tonight till 8:30 am tomorrow (13 March 2021) and at Belur Math (Cultural Hall) from 9:00 am tomorrow till 8:00 pm for the devotees and admirers to pay their homage.

Cremation will start at about 9:15 pm on 13 March 2021 at Belur Math.
