Started in 1948, this centre of Ramakrishna Math is housed in
a commodious building, about 45 km away from Central London.
Swami Dayatmananda is the minister-in-charge.
Activities of the Math centre :
Publication of Vedanta, a bi-monthly journal in English, which
entered its 59th year. The centre also maintains a bookshop.
Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother
Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious teachers,
as well as festivals such as Durga Puja and Christmas Eve.
Regular spiritual retreats, interviews and discourses.
Lectures in the centre and elsewhere in UK.
The swami also visited Germany, Japan, France and
America and spoke at various places, gave interviews to spiritual
seekers, conducted spiritual retreats there, and participated in
several seminars and inter-religious meets.
The centre distributed £ 1,85,370 for charitable works in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Germany and UK.
