The Matri Mandir (Math centre) was established in 1920 at
Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi’s birthplace. The Mission centre was founded in 1930. Ramakrishna Yogashrama, Koalpara (P.O. Dehuapara-722141), the Math sub-centre, is 8 km from the Matri Mandir. It is a peaceful retreat associated with Holy Mother’s life.
Activities of the Math centre :
Daily worship, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, religious classes, birth anniversaries of spiritual luminaries, and some festivals like Jagaddhatri Puja.
A small library with 2622 books.
Welfare work by way of distributing milk, clothing, blankets, textbooks, and so on to the poor and needy. A sum of Rs. 11,03,629 was spent for this purpose during the year.
Activities of the Mission centre :
A high school with 529 boys and 419 girls.


Two junior basic schools with 297 boys and 191 girls.
Two libraries with 10,776 books and 9 periodicals.
A charitable homoeopathic-cum-allopathic dispensary, which treated 38,475 cases during the year.

A mobile medical unit, which treated 9383 patients.
Welfare activities: The centre spent Rs. 15,74,330 for providing pecuniary and other types of help to the poor and needy.
Pallimangal project, consisting of one vocational training centre (under which 44 persons were trained), one technical section (184 beneficiaries) and 37 free coaching centres with 1056 students. Textbooks, school uniforms, scholarships, etc were distributed to the needy with the help of the Headquarters. Altogether, about 1518 families of 50 villages were benefited during the year.
Activities of the City/Town/Sub centre :
A charitable homoeopathic dispensary, which treated 2635 patients during the year.
A free coaching centre with 202 students.
A small library for the benefit of local poor students.
Welfare work such as giving medical and pecuniary help, distribution of clothes, blankets, etc to the poor and needy, and nutritious food, milk, textbooks and other educational aids to poor students.
Religious activities included daily worship, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, religious discourses and celebration of religious festivals. Additional Photos of the Activities of the Centre:
