The Ashrama (Math branch), situated in a picturesque locality,
was started in 1916.
The Mission centre was started in 1974.
Activities of the Math centre :
A library with 4597 books and 23 periodicals and newspapers.
Daily worship, weekly discourses in and outside the ashrama,
celebration of Janamashtami, Durga Puja, Kali Puja, etc and
observance of the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy
Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other spiritual
luminaries.
Welfare work by way of providing study materials, and pecuniary
help for admission fee, examination fee etc. to girl students.
Activities of the Mission centre :
A charitable homoeopathic-cum-allopathic dispensary with
ophthalmology and TB departments, which treated 13,948 cases.
A mobile medical unit, which treated 2716 cases this year.
Rural development work: Training rural youths in agro-based
items (558 trainees); non-formal schools in three villages (total
211 students); one free coaching centre (32 students) and one
adult education centre (29 women trainees) in a slum area.
Workshops, conventions and seminars on value education and
personality development (75 programmes held during the year -
6660 beneficiaries) besides various competitions for students.
Welfare work by way of distributing woollen garments,
blankets and among the poor.
Six medical camps were organized which treated 6280 patients.
