The ashrama was started in 1975 and made a branch centre in
1987.
Activities of the Math centre :
A primary school with 587 students.
Welfare work by way of feeding 150 poor children daily.
A public library with 18,000 books and 72 periodicals. The
school library had 2387 books.
A free tuition centre for 430 children.
A charitable dispensary, which treated (1990 cases treated) and
medical camps (889 patients treated).
Personality development classes for students, and also weekly
yoga classes.
Daily worship and bhajans, celebration of the birthdays of Sri
Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda, weekly
religious classes, monthly retreats and occasional discourses.
