The Sanatorium, which was opened in 1951 with 32 beds, had
150 beds during the year with several ancillary departments, including
a dairy and an agricultural farm.
Activities of the Mission centre :
The inpatient department treated 510 cases and discharged 352. Of these, 502 patients were treated free of charge and 3 at concessional rates.
The attached OPD having allopathic (with several departments), homeopathic and ayurvedic sections treated 33,744 cases.

A mobile medeical unit which treated 24,861 cases. Besides, free eye camps and special medical camps were also conducted during the year.


A free middle school (Hindi medium) for tribal and backward class children (243 boys and 271 girls).


A computer training centre, which conducts six-month diploma courses in computer applications, had 158 tribal youth of surrounding area on roll.
A library with 4650 books and 29 newspapers and periodicals.
Religious activities: Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda, and religious festivals like Jagaddhatri Puja.
Welfare work by way of free distribution of food, milk, educational and other aids, clothes, etc.
