The centre was started in 1937.
Activities of the Mission centre :
A charitable allopathic-cum-homoeopathic dispensary with pathology, X-ray, physiotherapy ophthalmology, ultra-sonography, eye, ENT and dental departments. 67,131 cases were treated during the year.


A mobile medical unit serving 70 neighbouring villages, which treated 11,338 patients this year.

A library and a free reading room with 16,677 books, and 26 newspapers and periodicals.
A hostel with 26 tribal boys.
Religious activities : Spiritual discourses, public meetings, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, and celebration of the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda, as also some other festivals.
Vivekananda Cultural Centre : This centre stands at the very spot where the famous Quinton Memorial Hall once existed, the hall where Swami Vivekananda delivered a public lecture in April 1901. Activities at this centre : (a) a computer training centre with 5982 students, (b) a library with a reading room (13,359 books), an auditorium and a meditation hall, (c) drawing and painting classes (298 children) and training programmes in Indian culture (90 students), (d) value education programmes, and (e) weekly scriptural classes and occasional lectures, annual competitions for students, youth forum, etc. Additional Photos of the Activities of the Centre:
