The Math centre was started in 1914 and taken over in 1924.
The Mission centre was also started in 1914. It was taken over
in 1929.
Activities of the Math centre :
Religious discourses in and outside the Ashrama premises.
Daily worship and bhajans, celebration of the birthdays of Sri
Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda
and other prophets, and also Kali Puja.
Activities of the Mission centre :
An industrial school which conducts a three-year course in carpentry.
A primary school with 302 boys and 208 girls.
A free students' home with 6 students.
A library and a reading room with 12,268 books and 26 newspapers
and periodicals.
Three charitable homoeopathic dispensaries, which treated 8317
cases.
Welfare work by way of distributing milk, clothing, pecuniary
help, etc to the needy.
