The ashrama was started in 1948 and made a branch centre of
the Math in 1999.
Activities of the Math centre :
A dispensary with homoeopathic and ayurvedic sections, which
treated 4207 patients.
Sanskrit and music classes and value education programmes.
Regular worship, weekly religious discourses, occasional
lectures and celebration of the birth anniversaries of Sri
Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami
Vivekananda.
Welfare work by way of providing books, garments, pecuniary
help etc to needy students.
A free coaching centre for 8 poor students.
